Undergraduate education period is 4 years in textile engineering departments. Graduates of the department are primarily trained to work as technical staff related directly to production in textile mills. Therefore, education given under the name of textile engineering is generally within the framework of “Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry and Finishing, Apparel Industry”. Our students improve their English languages by taking courses in occupational English from third grade. Lectures about the subjects of spinning, weaving, knitting and apparel industry, quality control under the textile engineering program, subjects of chemistry of fibers, dyes and textile auxiliary agents, printing, finishing, chemical textile control under the textile chemistry and finishing are given. In addition to the teaching practices, students gain professional experience through a summer internship and a midterm internship belong to the occupational lectures.
