Post Graduate Education

The aim of master training with thesis program is to give an ability to reach information through scientific research, to evaluate the information and to interpret it. Master Training of Textile Engineering Program has begun admitting students on spring semester of the 2008-2009.

This program consists of minimum 21, maximum 27 credit hours, minimum 7 maximum 12 lectures, one seminar course and thesis work. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and considered as successful and unsuccessful. Student must register for the thesis work in the each semester at latest from the beginning of third half of the year.

Completion time for the master training program with thesis is four semesters. The students will be dismissed from the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences unless they complete the credit lessons and seminar as successful in the four semesters. The students who complete the credit lessons and seminar as successful but cannot complete the thesis work in four semesters, can be given maximum additional two semesters to present the study in front of the jury with the proposal of related Institution Department and the approval of Institution Management Board.

Doctorate Education

The aim of doctorate education; to give an ability to research independently, to examine and interpret scientific issues with broader perspective and to determine necessary steps to reach new synthesises.

The thesis which is prepared at the end of education must be achieved at least one the purposes below;

1) to innovate the science,

2) to develop new scientific method,

3) to introduce a conventional method to new areas.

For the students who are accepted with graduate degree; this program consists of minimum 21 credits and at least 7 cources,one seminar course, proficiency exam, thesis sugestion and thesis work. Completion time for the doctorate training program is 8 semesters. The students should pass the credit lessons minumun in 4 semesters.

For the students who are accepted with under graduate degree, the program consists of minimum 42 credits and at least 14 cources, 2 seminar cources, proficiency exam, sugestion of thesis and thesis work. Completion time for the doctorate training program is 10 semesters. The students should pass the credit lessons minumun in 6 semesters.

The students will be dismissed from the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences unless they complete the credit lessons and seminar as successful in this period.

The students who complete the credit lessons, pass the proficiency exam successfully, whose suggestion of thesis is accepted but couldn’t fullfil thessis work on 8 semesters (graduate degree) and 10 semesters (undergraduate degree) becauase of that, cannot enter the thessis exam, can be given maximum additional 4 semesters to present the study in front of the jury with the proposal of related Institution Department and the approval of Institution Management Board.
